We put the Mosquito Dodger to the test the only way we know how—by rolling up our sleeves (under protective suits, of course) and stepping into a screened box with 50 hungry mosquitoes.

Volunteers from the Murphy's team sat at varying distances—5, 10, and 15 feet—from the device, tracking every mosquito landing over five minutes. The results? Mosquito landings dropped by 65% at 5 feet, with protection extending up to 15 feet. The closer we got, the fewer landings we saw—proving its essential oil blend disrupts mosquitoes' ability to detect their next meal. Feeling resistance when inserting the nozzle is to be expected. The nozzle has a keyed design, so it only fits in one way, and the tension you’re feeling is intentional to ensure a secure fit. Make sure the nozzle is fully pressed down before trying to close the cap — it won’t close properly unless it's seated all the way.
How should I position my Mosquito Dodger for best results?

Place your Mosquito Dodger on or near the ground, upright, and upwind if weather conditions require. Then, kick back and relax!

durability and efficiency

First of all, I loved it. I used it for several nights in my backyard while playing board games with my kids, and the mosquitoes didn't even come close to where we were. What I want to say is that it's excellently effective. I also wanted to tell you that it's super convenient to carry, or as it says here, portability. It fits in any suitcase or bag if you're going camping. Its durability is quite long, so I would recommend it. I give it a 20 out of 10. As for the price, consider that it's a bit high, but using it, it's really worth the sale price.

Great mosquito repellent

I received this product free from Influenster and the brand in exchange for my honest review. We Love this Mosquito Repellent. I live in South Louisiana, and needless to say, this product is a must have! Looka good, it is rechargeable, and lasts up to 35 hours when fully charged, and it covers up to 15 feet of the yard. It also has a light, and a very pleasant scent. It keeps mosquitos away while looking good. I love that it doesn't contain any toxic ingredients. It's safe for kids and pets. Highly recommend!

Nice smell, subtle ambient light, no mosquitos

It works… I think! I used it recently while entertaining and eating outside. Mosquitos did not bother us, but who knows if it’s really working. On the positive side, the scented oil smells quite nice. We had it in the middle of where we were sitting, but it may be better off just off to the side. It has a nice design, including an ambient light which was a nice surprise. I have looked at oil refill costs, but assuming they’re fairly priced, this was a good find for outdoor entertainment.

ALL-NATURAL BARRIER FROM MOSQUITOES!

Thank you Influenster for allowing me to test and review The Mosquito Dodger!! Really great all-natural concept to repel mosquitoes when outside grilling or entertaining guests! It has a great, all-natural, but strong odor to it. The product is set to spray at certain intervals and it works as it should. It is pretty portable so you can take it where you want, but you do have to be aware that the device needs to be kept upright when loaded with oil or you would need to take out the oil and put the cap back on to transport it safely without messes. It is a great product that keeps mosquitoes away and the cost of the device and included refill isn’t a bad price at about $49.99 BUT I do feel the replacement oils are a bit on the pricey side.. 1 for $19.99 or 2 for $34.99 to me is just a little pricey for the promised 30 hours of protection.

Amazing!!!

This is a great product for avoiding those pesky mosquitoes once and for all! It is portable, natural and easy to use. It comes with everything in the box and is very effective at keeping mosquitoes away, even in hot climates. I love the white LED light and the fact that it is rechargeable. It comes with plant based natural oils and works with no heat or flame. Highly recommended!!

Bye bye mosquitoes and pesky bugs!

The mosquito’s are here to stay for the Spring/Summer season so this little Murphy’s Mosquito Dodger Zone Repellent device is going to be super effective and nice to have around when sitting outside on the deck. It seems to be really durable and affordable. I haven’t used it yet so I’m not sure about the scent. I also like the little light that goes around it.

This is so cool and such a great summer must have item for anyone who enjoys playing outside in the yard or pool! It is rechargeable and last up to 35 hours when fully charged and covers up to 15ft zoning of the yard! The Murphy brand is already awesome with their candles and outdoor sprays and there mosquito dodger did not disappoint!
