Our moodiest repellent.

These mosquito-repelling tea lights keep mosquitoes away from your patio for up to four hours. Think of these 12 tea lights like your personal army of mosquito-repelling soldiers.*

*Each tea light completes a rigorous training regiment, through which only the mightiest candles proceed. Most people just call this "quality control."

As each tea light burns, our proven blend of mosquito-fighting essential oils is dispersed into the air. The fragrance binds to mosquitoes' olfactory receptors, creating confusion when they are looking for human indicators (like CO2 and body odor).

ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
- Rosemary Oil (2.25%)
- Peppermint Oil (1%)
- Citronella Oil (0.75%)
- Lemongrass Oil (0.5%)

INERT INGREDIENTS:
- Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Beeswax (95%)

No added fragrance. No dyes. No parabens.

TESTED & TRUSTED

We test our repellent tea light candles at New Mexico State University's Molecular Vector Physiology Lab. But what does “tested" really mean? It means that we don’t hesitate to get in the weeds—or in this case, a cage—until we get the results you deserve.

During our studies, the NMSU team traces mosquito movement either to or from a human volunteer on the Murphy's Team. As olfactory-motivated creatures, mosquitoes move away from scents they don't like, such as our tea lights. The study concluded that our mosquito repellent tea lights successfully decreased human attractiveness (aka, the likelihood you'll get bitten) for up to four hours.

FAQs

How long is the burn time?

Each tea light has a burn time of 4 hours. It is important that the wax completely melts during the first burn to minimize tunneling which will cause a less than satisfactory burn for future uses. For the best life of your tea lights, we recommend letting the candle burn for at least 2 hours each time.

Can I burn these indoors?

While our products are great at keeping away mosquitoes while you’re outdoors, the concentrated blend of oils make this candle appropriate for outdoor use only.

How do I light and extinguish my tea light?

To light, use a lighter or match to light the wick. To extinguish you can blow the flame out or snuff the wick. Never use water and be sure the wax has cooled before you handle the tea light.

Charming and effective

We set these in some small mason jars with sand at the bottom and placed all over our very buggy backyard. They smell and work great, and they offer a darling alternative to other repellent candles. I don’t think any of our guests realized they were bug repellent, but the bugs did and kept their distance

I like these a lot

They are not too smelly and they do seem to help. The best part is you can light them and a few hours later they burn themselves out and you don't need to remember to extinguish them
